Description
Summary:Linear displacement equation is used for visualizing the profile of fluids saturations in reservoir when water flooded. Several theories such as piston-like displacement and Buckley-Leverett Displacement Theorem were made. Those theories are not only visualize the profile of fluids saturations but also can determine several important linear displacement parameters such as breakthrough time and volume oil produced.

However, Buckley Leverett Theorem has to be corrected first in the application. It is due to the present of three different value of saturations in one position which is impossible. The correction process is able to modify the results into more realistic image due to single value of saturation in each position.

This paper intends to generate a new linear displacement equation which does not have to be corrected for its application. With the equation, people can visualize the profile of fluids saturations in water flooding phenomenon, predict breakthrough time, and predict oil generation.

Keywords : Linear displacement, water injection, piston-like displacement, Buckley Leverett Equation, saturation profile, Soni Somantri Equation, New Equation.
