This study will discuss how to apply both artificial lift methods which are Electrical Submersible Pump (ESP) and gas lift in one well. ESP will increase the pressure in the bottomhole thus the fluids will flow easier to the surface while gas lift will reduce the density of produced fluids thus the flowing gradient will be lower. Recently, the application of both ESP and gas lift in one will is as back up system if one of them does not work. This study will propose the design of combination both ESP and gas lift that work simultaneously in one well. This design will be compared with the case where one of the artificial lift methods is not working. text |
