To obtain that particular result, the seismic data must follow a particular

step called stacking, which can significantly increases signal-to-noise ratio at every trace

gathers. In this research, the seismic data passes through two different stacking method, which

are Common Reflection Surface (CRS) stack and Dip Move Out (DMO) stack on Marmousi II

synthetic model. For th subsurface difficulties, the two stacking methods are used for overcome

the conventional stacking lacks, and then the methods Post Stack Depth Migration section are

compared. The methods also give better picking velocity than the conventional one, which then

used for better spherical divergence correction and as an input to Amplitude versus Offset

(AVO) and Amplitude versus Angle (AVA) analysis. The result section then evaluated from the

reflector amplitudes. The amplitudes evaluation aims for knowing the consequences of every

stacking methods that correlate to preserving amplitude. From this research, the CRS gather

gives better amplitudes preserved characteristic than the DMO method. text
