In 2019, the Government of Indonesia targets the tourism sector to contribute 8% of total GDP. To achieve these targets, innovative solutions are needed to increase the interest of tourists. The presence of technology in the tourism industry has created a new environment in the world of tourism called smart tourism. Implementation of smart tourism is expected to create the best user experience or customer experience (CX) to increase the interest of tourists. <br /> <br /> In this final project discussed technology mapping that can be implemented in the application of smart tourism in every phase of the tour, including pre-traveling, on-site traveling, and post-traveling. The latest technology that can be utilized in the development of smart tourism such as mobile communication, Internet of Things, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, big data analytics, virtual reality, augmented reality. Furthermore, in this final task is implemented virtual assistant utilize artificial intelligence technology, in which the system can understand the natural human language and complete the task according to the user command. The virtual assistant is in the form of a chatbot that can provide the information asked by tourists through chat rooms on the conversational platform. <br /> <br /> Based on the results of prototype testing developed, the results obtained that the development of virtual assistants can provide information more easily to enhance the user experience, especially the experience of tourists in traveling. The improvement of user experience is expected to increase tourists interest in traveling. <p align="justify"> <br /> text
