Summary: | Sugar industry Purwodadie is one of many sugar industries under PTPN XI in Magetan, East Java. In the production proccess, PG Purwoadide needs 12 steams to support operational activities. PG Purwodadie uses boiler to produce steam with the help of sugarcane waste (bagasse) as fuel. Emission is emitted as the result of combustion process and one of the pollutants is particulate matters. Particulate matters concentration based on Peraturan Menteri Lingkungan nomor 7 tahun 2007 and Peraturan Gubernur nomor 10 tahun 2009 is 250 mg/Nm3. But particulate matters concentration on September 2016 is 1101 mg/Nm3. Therefore, redesign a particulate control equipment is needed. The system designed for thie project is high efficiency cyclone systemn featured with duct, storage and stack. Based on calculation result, the diameter size of the cyclone is 3.37 meters with expected to do 81% particulate matters removal. Dust storage is 1.25 meters wide and 0.8 meters high., it is able to store the removed particulae matter matters for 8 hours. And the stacks is 4.8 meters wide and 45 meters high. |
