Description
Summary:CV KPG is a micro-scale clothing company in Bandung, specializes in clothing production service. Clothing industry has a promising future in Indonesia, giving hope for CV KPG to achieve for success through business development. However, it is not accompanied by improvements in product quality. By 2016 there were product defects that did not meet the expected specifications. This research aims to find the factors that cause product failures and solutions in overcoming the problem. Seven Basic Tools of Total Quality Control by Kaoru Ishikawa (1985) are utilized for problem solving. The findings shows that size error make up to 45% of the total causes of production failure and being the dominant issue that should be solved immediately. Through Fishbone analysis from Seven Basic Tools, rootcauses of size errors are caused by decrease in engine quality due to low level of maintenance and the number of employees who do not work according to operational standards and procedures.
