Evaporation has an important role in climate, atmospheric, and local agriculture processes. Nevertheless, the evaporation data of the direct measurement is still limited in number caused by complex and costly measurements. Therefore, this research analyzes suitable evaporation estimation method to be employed in Bandung Basin using observation data at three sites (ITB, Ujung Berung, and Baleendah). Observation of the evaporation was conducted using Class A pan evaporation, and meteorological parameters including temperature, relative humidity, wind speed, and radiation using Automatic Weather Station (AWS) from 4th to 13th August 2016 in hourly interval. The analysis was also conducted using the data of vapor pressure deficit and data of Himawari 8 satellite. The result of this study describe the dominant weather factors affecting the evaporation in each site, and the comparison of measured evaporation patterns with evaporation estimation using Trabert, Schendel, Turc, and CIMIS-Penman methods. The analysis was done by using EDA (Exploratory Data Analysis) method, regression analysis, error comparison, and diagram taylor. From the comparison between estimation and measured evaporation at the three sites, the closest method to the evaporation of the observation follows the dominant weather factor affecting the evaporation. <p align="justify"> text |
