One way to approximate the ionospheric effect in GNSS data is by using an ionospheric model. To be able to create such odel, the Total Electron Content (TEC) is needed. This research aims at finding out the temporal and spatial characteristics of TEC and find its correlation with the solar activity. The Wavelet Transform using Daubechies Wavelet was used to analyze the results. The analysis showed that the TEC varies anually, semi-anually, daily, semi-daily and irregularly. It also showed that the TEC varies spatially, with the TEC value increases closer to the equator. The TEC has very high correlation coefficient (0.81) with sunspot number.<p align="justify"> text
