Summary: | Retrograde gas reservoirs have different behavior with other reservoir fluids. As reservoir produces, formation temperature does not change, but reservoir pressure decreases. There will be an amount of gas that is condensed near the wellbore when the well is produced at bottom hole flowing pressure below the dew point pressure. However, when reservoir pressure reach a point called critical condensate pressure an amount of condensate will change into gas phase again. The presence of condensate blocking and the change of condensate phase into gas phase will affect well deliverability of retrograde gas reservoir. This research is divided into three conditions, the first condition is when reservoir pressure is above dew point pressure, second condition is when reservoir pressure is between dew point pressure and critical condensate pressure, and the third condition is when reservoir pressure is below critical condensate pressure. Deliverability curve of retrograde gas reservoir in this research is simulated using CMG-GEM 2009 with three different fluid compositions. The data which is used to construct inflow performance relationship (IPR) curve is obtained by conducting well testing with modified isochronal test method. Calculation of flow rate or deliverability is using p-squared (p2) method including the presence of turbulence factor or Non-Darcy factor. The equation of IPR for three different conditions is obtained by constructing future IPR and dimensionless IPR . Based on the result of this reseacrh , IPR for three conditions above are have non-significant difference. |
