Summary: |
Bandung Institute of Technology in Ganesa has public utilities to support all activity around the campus. A complete public utility has two basic components, electrical and phone network, but in this case it will be specifically discussed on electrical network. Street and park lighting are included into electrical utility. Based on the observation, street and park lighting maintenance and procurement in ITB have not worked really well. Utility information system could be a solution to help the maintenance and procurement utility, yet a complete and accurate spatial data will be required. This undergraduate thesis discusses about the utility information system development for street and park lighting in ITB, plus an electrical network as a supporting system. The development of utility information system requires ITB orthophoto map, 360o street panoramic view by Remote Sensing Expertise and Geographic Information Science Group ITB, and an electrical component distribution sketch by Directorate of Facilities and Infrastructure ITB. Field survey is needed to validate the street and park lighting position. The electrical component data are then digitized based on the available data source. The next step is to build an electrical network utility database design and to proceed data implementation. The proccesed database will be analyzed spatially to measure utility services optimality. The final result of this undergraduate thesis is an Electrical Network Information System integrated with online system ITB Map. This information system is expected to simplify the electrical maintenance and procurement activity effectively and effeciently.
|
