We know

that disabilities have so much needs in environment and buildings, so it supposed to be

architects and designer’s charge to solve their problem especially about way finding, sign

system, even more about how to comfort them in public. But mostly in Indonesia, architects

and designers have a very poor attention on that specification, especially in public area, when

disabilities are easier to get lost. All this time, architects and designers have made their design

for disabilities like just as a formality, and if we continue to let this happen this could make a

bad Indonesian designer culture.

In Indonesia, there are so many disabilities, which is there a blind man, autism, and etc. A

blind man’s needs is different with a deaf or with a quadriplegic. By this writing, designer can

clarify all the mistake of their design for disability. Especially in some public area design. They

should know that they need to reach the standard of each disability in every design they made. text
