Summary: | New and renewable energy is needed lately because of unbalancing usage of fossil energy with energy supplies from these fossils. Indonesia has a lot of rivers in various regions from Sabang until Merauke so that Hydroelectric Power Plants or Micro Hydroelectric Power Plants can be very potential solution to make new and renewable energy in Indonesia.
Water turbine that is appropriate with necessity characteristic is needed in designing the installation of PLTA/PLTMH. This can be seen from the place that will be designed as a generator and others. The water flowing level of rivers in Indonesia mostly have low level so that cross flow turbine can be one of the solution.

In cross flow turbine calibration, it is needed to do digital data acquisition so that the calibration is done effectively and accurately. For this purpose, a data acquisition device has been designed and created with sensors used in calibration installation. So that the system can be operated well, a software has been used for data acquisition.

The device uses National Instrument USB 6211 as input voltage reader and has been programmed with LabVIEW 2016 software to see data obtained. Meanwhile, the results of processing data are processed using Microsoft Excel in order to obtain the calibration results and create cross flow turbine characteristic that we need.
