However, the rapid development of the area is not supported by a good liaison system causing declining environmental and physical quality along the road corridor. Some of the problems that occur such as, the increasingly crowded circulation patterns, inadequate parking lots, conflict between pedestrians and street vendors, and the harmony of building facades along the corridor causing the lagging of connecting systems from the centers of activity. <br /> <br /> This study aims to formulate the Principles of Liaison System Design along the corridor St. Sultan Hasanuddin and St. Wolter Monginsidi based on the quality of the connecting system, as well as the normative provision of the design of the center liaison system with the weighting method is done based on the formulation of the quality indicator of the liaison system which consists of safety, security, comfort, pleasure and beauty aspects. The identification of community perceptions and preferences on the identity of the connecting system with statistical analysis consists of physical and functional aspects. The public's preference for the quality and identity of the liaison system is then compared to the normative design of the central linking system, which is based on the normative review of prevailing norms, standards and laws and regulations, in consideration of the preparation of Liaison System Design Principles in the City Center. <br /> <br /> Based on the analysis, the connecting system along the corridor St. Sultan Hasanuddin and St. Wolter Monginsidi's quality is still low. In this study, the effort to improve the quality of the low liaison system is done by two activities, namely rehabilitation, improving the quality of the connecting system with the aim of restoring the connecting system components that have been left behind by the centers of activit, and renovation, modification and adjustment of some or more parts of the interface system. <br /> <br /> <br /> Keywords : connecting systems, design principles, road corridors. <br /> <br /> text
