The morphometric analysis for each catchment are performed based on topographic map with the scale of 1: 25.000. <br /> The available published data of the rain fall were analysis by the Theissen method to determine the characterize of the rain fall for each corresponding catchment areas. The flood data for each catcment was also used to determine the volume of their attributable heavy rain fall.</p> The physical characteristic of every catchment are furnished by other related data, including the percentages of slope areal distributions and the constant of the particular underlying rocks. <br /> In this case, the dependent variable of the multiple linear regression analysis is the flood volume (Q), whereas the independent variables are the rain fall (I), and few others of various morphometric parameters. <br /> The result of the analysis show that the catchment areas (A), the stream density (D) and the catchment form geometry (Rc) have significantly possitive corelation in order to support the flood occurences. There is only the bifurcation ratios (Rb) which have negative corelations.</p> <br /> The trial test involving the square percentages of the particular underlying rock units as an independent variable against the morphometric variables, shows significant result that the Lava and Tuffaceous Sand from the Cikidang Formation, are negatively corelated to unsupport the flood occurences. <br /> The influence of the more pervasively geological structure in the eastern part (Strahler, 1964) are reflected by the significant contrast of some variables to the stream density (D) and frequency (Fu) factors within the Maribaya-SP and also indicated by the (Rb) value which less than 3 and more than 5. text |
