Geographically the Ciwulan watershed is located at the coordinates of 107 39 '- 108 71' East Longitude and 07 18 '- 07 82' South Latitude, with an area of about 1,144.25 km2 and length of 100.47 km.

The study included rainfall data collection; data analysis, water availability analysis with Method F.J. Mock to get synthetic discharge from rainfall data from 2004 to 2015; water demand analysis, water balance analysis, water allocation simulation for existing condition and projection up to 2032.

Rainfall data is obtained from three observation stations, namely Gunung Satria Station, Singaparna Station and Karangnunggal Station. The annual average rainfall in the Ciwulan basin is 2,692 mm, with the highest rainfall of 6,454 mm / year and the lowest 414 mm / year. The lowest rainfall period is July to September, while the highest is in November and April.

The result of the analysis shows that for the availability of water, the average monthly average of Q80 = 21,66 m3 / s and the main discharge Q90 = 15,72 m3 / s. For the current largest domestic demand is 1.82 m3 / s, and second is the need for flushing of 1.35 m3 / s while for the future condition, the biggest requirement is domestic that is 3,48 m3 / s. When reviewing the availability and demand on a Q90 mainstay debit there is a water shortage in certain months. One way of handling the shortage is to create a reservoir to meet the water needs in the dry season with a capacity of 6.674.400.00 m3.

text
