One of its flagship products is Tasikmalaya wicker, arranged from bamboo, pandanus, mendong, eceng gondok, and lidi. Tasikmalaya pandanus wicker handicraft is one of Tasikmalaya's oldest cultural heritages containing philosophical value in it. Pandanus wicker originally applied only in making mats, but the peoples of Rajapolah have been started to develop pandanus wicker on fashion products and household appliances. <br /> <br /> Seeing the rapid development of advanced technology, accompanied by the penetration of the outer culture of modern tools that are more relevant in use at this time to make objects made of wicker less desirable, thus impacting the loss of wicker form slowly. The limited education of the craftsmen people in the processing of materials, design, and form is still relatively low. The decline of existence of pandanus wicker can be caused by lack of design innovation and anyaman pandanus products, making the community in the teen age group is not interested in these traditional products. <br /> <br /> By the appropriate process of Pandan woven until producing characteristic of Rajapolah Tasikmalaya yet still maintaining the values can create a new regional attraction. The alternative of wicker application on sustainable and repetitive products can revive the existence of pandanus wicker. Fashion product is one of the most rapidly growing applied products and has already been part of the lifestyle. The rise of fashion in every circle, increasingly make the accessibility of fashion to <br /> <br /> move all over the world is finally competing to create something new and new to be exhibited, produced and eventually marketed to the community. <br /> <br /> This descriptive qualitative approach is examined that pandanus fibers have flexible, firm, and potential characteristics to be developed into more attractive wicker forms. The experimental method is carried out along with the basic knowledge of the elements, encouraging to explore Tasikmalaya pandanus wicker which includes the pattern, size, shape, color, texture, and other aesthetic values. Application of wicker on women's fashion accessories products such as bags, sandals, obi, watch strap, and other fashion accessories will be tailored to the current fashion trend. <br /> text
