DECAY ORBITAL PERIOD OF BINARY SYSTEM IN GRAVITATIONAL WAVE'S DETECTION

Gravitational wave had been detected by Teleskop of Arecibo, LIGO, and VIRGO since 1974 until August 2017. They are PSR 1913+16, GW150914, GW151226, GW170104 and GW170814. Meanwhile, a century ago, Einstein had been established General Relativity’s Theory which...

In this thesis will construct a modelling of binary system’s dynamic with linearized theory and post-Newtonian approximation. Modelling what used is a binary system with two identical masses which rotating a focus of circle. This modelling will lead us to get decay orbital period of binary system for all gravitational wave’s detection. Decay orbital period of PSR 1913+16 is -1,073 x 〖10〗^(-12), GW150914 is -81,956 x 〖10〗^(-12), GW151226 is -2,56 x 〖10〗^(-12), GW170104 is -73,73 x 〖10〗^(-12), and -44,94 x 〖10〗^(-12) for GW170814. Then, duration of coalescence process of binary system will be known by decay orbital period of gravitational wave’s source.
text |
