Description
Summary:Tomo WTP is one of SPAM Jatigede water treatment plants to serve the water demand in Tomo and Ujungjaya Sub-district, Sumedang Regency. In 2016, each sub-district has population number of 23.022 and 29.630. Water demand in two sub-districts are currently served by PDAM Tirta Medal with raw water source from Cioray Gede Water Spring with 37 LPS production capacity. Meanwhile, the community needs for clean water is increasing. So it is necessary to increase the scope of raw water used. Based on the projections, the need for clean water will reach 77 Liter/s in 2040. Water Treatment Plant (WTP) is planned to be in operation for 20 years (2020-240) with the development plan in two stages of planning. Raw water source for this WTP is Cimanuk River which has 1 m3/s capacity. Tomo WTP will be located in Tomo Sub-district, Sumedang Regency. Based on the result of raw water quality test, there are some parameters that are not in accordance with the quality standard. Therefore, it is necessary to adjust to the quality standard of clean water, especially the allowance of suspended solid. Its entire design will be divided into primary design and development of primary design. The primary design consists of intake buiding, transmission system, pre-sedimentation unit, coagulation unit, and flocculation unit designs, while its development consists of filtration unit, disinfection, and reservoir designs.
