Summary:Mandalajati Sub-district is a sub-district with a total area of 717 hectares is a sub-district located within the service area of East Bandung. Currently, garbage in Mandalajati Sub-district is transported to 4 areas, then directly transported to TPA without any waste processingin the first place. In Mandalajati sub-district, precisely in Pasir Impun Village, there is a TransferDepo of East Bandung Service Area which is also used as a temporary dumping site for garbage in Kelurahan Pasir Impun. This location also used to be used as a Final Disposal Place (TPA). In accordance with the Masterplan of Municipal Solid Waste in Bandung City, this location with such a large area is one of the potential location that can be used as a place for waste processing area. The system development is expected to reduce waste in massive quantities and significant and help realizing the target of Masterplan of Municipal Solid Waste in Bandung City, in reducing the amount of waste throughout the city of Bandung. In accordance with the composition of waste that is dominated by kitchen waste, the main design of waste processing in the sub-district of Mandalajati is to do the processing on kitchen waste, by using Anaerobic Digester.
