SIMPLE ACCOUNTING SOFTWARE PROTOTYPE DESIGN FOR CV RINDU ALAM RESORT

<p align="justify">CV Rindu Alam Resort, one of the hot spring tourism businesses in North Sumatra, is now facing problems in its accounting cycle. According to the Director of CV Rindu Alam Resort, the most significant problem lies in the last stage of the accounting cycle, which is the preparation of financial statement. The current financial statement is incomplete and does not comply with the Financial Accounting Standard for Micro and Small and Medium Entities – SAK EMKM. To produce a standard financial statement, the problems in the overall accounting cycle need to be resolved. One of the proposed solutions to overcome these problems, which was done in this study, is to design accounting software. <br /> <br /> This study is focusing on designing accounting software for CV Rindu Alam Resort that can accommodate the company needs and in line with SAK EMKM. For the sake of simplicity of use, accounting software for CV Rindu Alam Resort was designed using Microsoft Excel. The method used to design an accounting software in this study is the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method. <br /> <br /> According to SAK EMKM, the financial reports generated by the software consists of Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and notes of the financial statement. In addition, the software can also produce Cash Flow and report comparation. All of those financial reports are automatically generated by the accounting software. The design of CV Rindu Alam Resort accounting software that was produced in this study was tested using the black box testing method and cash income-expenditure data of CV Rindu Alam Resort in July 2018. For the ease of implementation, guidebook was also created to be used for the user as a reference in using the software. The accounting software resulted in this study has complied the needs of the company and ED SAK EMKM so that it can resolve the problem of the accounting cycle in CV Rindu Alam Resort. <p align="justify">
