Description
Summary:Along with the increasing demand for drinking water in the area of DKI Jakarta, Karawang regency, Bekasi recgency and Bekasi city, there should be an additional supply of raw water for drinking water in large quantities. Based on the RISPAM f there is a total capacity report from each PDAM, shortage of ± 24,159 L/s. Because of all PDAM Regency/ City rely on the same raw water source that is water from Jatiluhur Reservoir that flows in West Tarum Channel (STB). Thus, SPAM Regional Jatiluhur becomes indispensable to regulate the utilization of raw water from Jatiluhur Dam. Regional SPAM Jatiluhur Project are divided into 2 phases of the project. In the Regional SPAM project Jatiluhur 1 will be built two Water Treatment Plant (WTP), the Cibeet WTP in Karawang regency with a capacity of 550 l/ s and Bekasi WTP to be built in Bekasi with capacity 4,450 L/s . In this research, it will be focused on planning the development of Cibeet WTP which will be built in Karawang regency. IPA Cibeet will provide water supply to two pieces offtake that is, offtake Telukjambe in Karawang regency with discharge 350 L /s which is planned to serve District Ciampel, District of West Telukjambe and District of East Telukjambe and offtake of Bekasi Regency (IPA Tegal Danas) with debit 200 L /s planned to serve Cikarang Center and District Cibitung. In general, based on the results of the study of the quality of raw water, the processing units planned for IPA Cibeet are coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, and disinfection, reservoir and sludge treatment. Specifically, the focusing unit that will be the research’s focus are coagulation, flocculation and sedimentation. The installation will also be equipped with supporting buildings, such as chemical building buildings, office buildings and drinking water service providers.
