Summary: | PT "X" is a company that engage in the field of remanufacturing work. Based on the results of observations and interviews that have been done, PT "X" still does not have a proper selection of new employees. This is indicated by the selection system that is still done manually that the assessment results are not well documented and cause the difficulty of the human resource division in conducting the search of candidate assessment documents. In addition, the selection stage has also not been consistently performed, shown in the selection criteria that are still not yet weighted and the implementation of decision-making model in determining the suitable candidate in a position. <br />

In improving the existing system in the company, this research proposed the use of decision support system model (DSS), where this model still includes human judgment which is contained in a semi-structured problem. The model used is Analytical Hierarchy Processing (AHP) in terms of weighting criteria and followed with Profile Matching model in assessing and ranking alternative candidates. The results of this decision model is the recommendation of the ranking of new employees at PT "X" for each position based on the gap of the competencies possessed by each candidate with the competence of the company. <br />

After designing the decision model, it is followed by the final stages of the research, which is to implement the decision model that has been made into a prototype DSS using PHP programming language and MySQL database. <br />
