This is must be required to plan a open pit or underground mine safely. <br /> <br /> To obtain properties of rock samples, the physical properties test and mechanical properties test are needed. In this research the rock samples are anisotropic with different strength and different angle in each layer of rock sample. The focus of this research is to observe ultrasonic wave velocity in the process of stressed rock in triaxial test with variation of strength and angle of layered rock sample. This research use the variation of layer sequence KLK and LKL with the composition of formed materials are strong materials (K) with the ratio of cement and sandstone 1:1 and weak materials (L) with the ratio of cement and sandstone 1:3. The ratio of volume used between strong and weak materials are proportional (1:1), so the only variable that differentiate are the sequence of layer and the angle which are 15°, 30°, dan 45° from horizontal axis. <br /> <br /> The result of this research will show the value of ultrasonic velocity and axial stress towards the stage of closing crack and elastic bound in triaxial test. It showed that ultrasonic velocity will increase if the given stress increased. And the value of ultrasonic velocity of LKL rock has bigger value than KLK rock. text |
