Summary:<p align ="justify">The study area is located in eastern Bandung Basin which is located in Bandung Region, West Java. This study area is included to national strategic site spatial planning that planned to build offices and manufacturing factory by the government. To support this plan, we needed engineering geological information to know the bearing capacity of the material in that area before we build constructions. The analysis methods are based on direct measurement in field by SPT (Standard Penetration Test) and also the laboratory data like physical properties and mechanical properties of the materials to know the bearing capacity of the material in this study area. The study area is consisted of three sedimentary types, which are Alluvial Fan Sand Sediment, Lake Clay Sediment and Clay-Sand Floodplain Sediment. The allowable bearing capacity of shallow foundation for strip, circle and square foundations at 0-4 m depth in BH 1 borehole is 0 - 23.44 ton/m2, BH 2 borehole is 0 - 119.7 ton/m2, BH 3 borehole 0 - 25.28 ton/m2, BH 4 borehole is 0 - 23.3 ton/m2 and BH 5 borehole is 0 - 9.34 ton/m2. Then, the allowable bearing capacity of deep foundation for driven pile foundation with circle and square shaped at 0-35 m in BH 1 borehole is around 1.67 ton to 32.38 ton, BH 2 borehole is around 0.96 ton to 15.8 ton, BH 3 borehole is around 1.22 ton to 74.29 ton, BH 4 borehole is around 1.67 ton to 28 ton and BH 5 borehole is around 1.67 ton to 44.37 ton. The allowable load value that can be build on the material with maximum settlement value about 2 inches in BH 1 borehole around 4.44 ton/m2 to 12.73 ton/m2, BH 2 borehole around 0.4 ton/m2 to 23.2 ton/m2, BH 3 borehole around 0.58 ton/m2 to 4.34 ton/m2, BH 4 borehole around 0.27 to 3.06 ton/m2 and 0.62 ton/m2 in BH 5 borehole. The lowness value of allowable load that can be build on the material is because the sediment has not compacted yet. The cohesionless will give higher value of bearing capacity than the cohesive one. The presence of clay minerals makes the bearing capacity value become lower.<p align ="justify">
