Description
Summary:The movement of demand in every echelon of supply chain becomes a problem when the number of demand changes. It can lead to a phenomenon called the bullwhip effect. Statistical Process Control can adjust the number of demand such that not to change too much. The uncertainty of demand can solve by predicting with time series model. An accurate forecasting can help producers to produce products optimally. In addition, in this modern era every manufacturer has a storage to anticipate the inability in complete the demand. The process of entering and exiting the product in the storage always be ready to use and stored properly called as inventory system. Inventory systems depend on the number of requests in the previous period. Inventory systems can be simulated by using Markov chain process. Transition matrix of Markov chain can illustrate the probability of changing conditions the number of products in the storage such that can be considered for inventory management system running optimally i.e complete the demand for each period.
