Not all roads in Sanur area are equipped with a pedestrian network. Pedestrian network isn't only for connecting places by walking, but can also be used for tsunami evacuation. The purpose of this research is to know the utilization of pedestrian network to increase evacuation capacity of tsunami road network of Sanur area. There are five analytical methods used in this study; first, content analysis to establish provisions for the provision and utilization of pedestrian networks under normal and disaster conditions, describe interview results, and for final analysis covering all targets; second, evaluation analysis of checklist methods to provide conditions assessment existing in accordance with the provisions that have been prepared; third, qualitative descriptive analysis to describe the results of observation; fourth, descriptive statistical analysis to describe the results of questionnaire-based interview respondents; fifth, evacuation capacity analysis to calculate differences in evacuation capacity with and without the pedestrian network. The results of this study are; first, from 32 roads observed, only 13 road segments equipped with pedestrian paths and the conditions have not reached 50% in seven aspects of supply. Second, based on the perception of residents and tourists, the pedestrian network is already reached more than 50% in seven aspects of supply. It is also known that their knowledge towards the Sanur tsunami evacuation plan is still low. Third, pedestrian paths increase evacuation capacity, so evacuation will be done faster and the number of victims can be minimized. The recommendations are suggestions for improving the provision and utilization of pedestrian networks, and refining the tsunami evacuation plan so that the pedestrian network can be fully utilized under normal and disaster conditions.

text
