GROWING PAIN ANALYSIS IDENTIFYING AND SOLUTIONS OF THE CRISIS OCCUR IN DINO DONUTS

DinoDonuts is food and beverage retail company which grows fast and have increasing number of human resource. Growing management always comes with pains define by crisis that need to solve as soon as possible before it caused heavy damage to the organization. DinoDonuts is competing in the industry that need strength in product and service quality. Day to day activity needs a bold procedural standards and heavily control system on how the employee done the job. The purpose of this research is to identify on which phase is the company's growing pain. Which crisis is happening at the time and how to solve it. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The research in this study using qualitative method. Data collection were done by direct observation and interviews with second layer managers and staffs representing each division. Samples chosen in the study are head of ware house officer, captain of sales marketing online administration, accounting staff, financial administration staff focused on purchasing, logistic staff, head of production, production staffs, and finally store area manager. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The study has shown a clear result in which pictured problems occurred in DinoDonuts. The Company has grown to “direction” phase resulting to crisis of autonomy. Day to day operational activity are directly involving top management. Thus, the problems happening are coming faster than the problem that are solved. Moreover, operational and financial director are handling some very technical tasks. The absent of Human resource division are followed by the absent of KPI, no systematic training program and bad recruitment system. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> There are solutions for solving problems caused by the growing pain. Firstly, establishing Human Resource Division is the first most important job to do. Secondly, hiring new professional and experienced managers or training existing personnel that are qualified will help the top management to stop doing day to day managers activity. Finally, investing in information technology will deliver accurate daily reports to support decision making, moreover, investment on production machinery will scaling up production capacity and decrease cost of production. <br />
