Description
Summary:
In 2012, the number of Lake in Depok city decreased from 30 to 28, most of Lakes condition is degraded because of pollution to drainage or water body itself. It came to attention when occupants who reside in Lake border line usually use groundwater from lake infiltration as their water source. In order to lessen the effect of pollution, local government carry out the revitalization and normalization as lake management activities. At first, these activities carried out by local government, but since Ministerial Decree of Public Works 04/2015 (Peraturan Kementerian Pekerjaan Umum No. 4 tahun 2015) implemented, authority of lake management activities in Depok City was handed to Central Government under governmental unit called BBWSCC (Balai Besar Wilayah Ciliwung Cisadane). With authority in the hand of central government, the management process will involve various stakeholders, coordination, planning, financing, and public participation. Therefore, study about lake management strategy by Depok local government is important. Issue that occurred in this study revolve around influential factors of lake management activities, involved stakeholder with their role and interest, and internal and external factors of local government in lake management. Methods used in this study are literature study, stakeholder analysis, and S.W.O.T analysis. These methods will generate conclusions in the form of lake management strategy in Depok city with analyzing its local government as administrator. These strategies revolve around improvement in coordination between local government and other stakeholders especially BBWSCC about lake management who need to be prioritized due to inadequate capacity to reserve water, the needs to increase awareness of public about water pollution, and incentives to society based working groups.
