Experiments are conducted by simulating low salinity waterflooding using conventional simulator focused on the change of rock’s wettability represented by transformation of relative permeability’s curve. Field X model with various kind of facies related to the clay content is used to understand the effect of clay content to the efficiency of this method. However, the effect of oil’s polar components are not observed due to lack of data. Furthermore, design of experiments are conducted to observe the most significant parameter effect the oil recovery in general. Based on field X simulation, it is concluded that low salinity waterflooding give additional oil recovery by 10%. This result is supported by conventional simulator result and has been validated by special simulator for low salinity waterflooding in commercial simolator. Besides salinity parameter, tipe of rock and oil’s properties has significant effect on oil recovery. text
