Summary:Having understood the need to increase the open green space and the phenomenon of urban farming movement, it is fair to assume that urban farming has a distinct feature which distinguishes it from conventional urban park namely not only provides a green space as urban park does but also offers economic profit from the farming activities. This profitability potential may attract urban community to do urban farming which means greater number of open green space. This is why urban farming has a great potential to solve green open space problem. <br /> <br /> Given the discourse that urban farming has an important contribution in improving the quality of environment as one of the embodiment of eco-city principles, it is naturally then to ask a fundamental research question: What is the most fit or the best form of collaborative action strategy required for urban farming movement to ensure its sustainability in Bandung City? It then followed by several research questions: to what extent increasing the number of open green space is shared by key stakeholders as one of urban farming goal/objectives? Who does what in urban farming movement? Which urban farming communities are considered as success and which are not? What factors influence the success or failure of urban farming community? What can be learned collectively from the success or failure of urban farming community?
