Summary: | <p align="justify">Research area is located 434224–436583 mE and 9619585–9623059 mN within zone 50S at Gumbil District, Sebuku Island, South Kalimantan. The research area has 12,5km2 with scale 1:10.000. The purposes of this research to do mapping fo geological map and analysis prospecting iron ore deposit in research area. The method used in this research are mapping, petrography analyzing, mineragraphy analyzing, and geochemical analyzing. The research analyzing 5 drill hole at Gumbil District with ID hole SBK006, SBK020, SBK014, SBK024, and SBK026. Geochemical data from XRF analysis. <br />

Geomorphology of research area is divided into two units consists of Banjar Asri denudation hills unit and Halaban intrusion hills unit. The research area is divided into three unofficial unit consists of harzburgit unit, hornfels unit, and gabro unit. The research area is divided into 4 sinistral faults and 1 dextral fault consists of Gumbil left slip fault, Halaban 1 left slip fault, Halaban 2 left slip fault, Halaban 3 left slip fault, and Gumbil right slip fault. <br />

The result of analysis is known the bedrock which produce iron ore deposit is serpentinized ultramafic. Ultramafic in research area contain magnetite that replaces Chromite. Iron ore deposit in research area consist of 3 zone, there limonite zone, saprolite zone, and bedrock zone. The highest Fe content in limonite zone with content 49,84%.<p align="justify"> |
