Therefore, Indonesia is faced with the challenge of producing high agricultural yields with limited water use. Pakcoy (Brassica chinensis L.) is the one of the most popular vegetables, but the productivity still low. Increasing crop water productivity with the use good plant media and irrigation can improve the water use efficiency and crop water productivity. This study was designed to determine the combination of vermicompost and water interval with the use of drip irrigation systems that can increase water use efficiency and crop water productivity. The experiment was conducted using split-plot randomized block design with two factors, that is growing media as subplots and watering interval as the main plot. Growing media consists of five levels with a rasio of soil an vermicompost M0 (1:0), M1 (3:1), M2 (1:1), M3 (1:3) and M4 (0:1). Watering interval consisted of three levels (once a day (V1), once every two days (V2), and once every three days (V3)). The result and ANOVA test showed that interaction between growing media and water interval have no significant effect (p>0.05) on crop water productivity as well as water interval factors. Meanwhile, growing media factors have a significant effect (p>0.05) on crop water productivity. The highest value of crop water productivity was obtained in M2V1 treatment with a value of 45,2 Kg/m3. The highest value of water use efficiency with the highest average wet weight was obtained in M2V1, which was 94% with an average wet weight of one plant is 90,58 grams.

text
