Description
Summary:The need for electricity every year is increasing. PLTM is an alternative energy to meet electricity needs that have not reached remote areas. The power produced by the MHP depends on the condition of the river discharge. Rain is the largest supplier of river discharge produced. Debit is affected by rainfall conditions, and rainfall is influenced by the presence of ENSO. Data processing begins by looking at climate phenomena that affect rainfall. Furthermore, the relationship between the phenomenon and rainfall and discharge is sought. Rainfall and debit will be grouped based on the incidence of the phenomenon (ElNino, La-Nina, and Normal). The debit value will be input in the calculation of the power produced in each event. With the wavelet plot, get ENSO has an influence on rainfall in the Ketahun watershed. Correlation between MEI and rainfall -0.73. Rainfall has an effect to discharge (correlation 0.69). El-Nino can reduce the generated power value by 25% from normal conditions. While La-Nina can increase the power value by 17% from normal conditions.
