Summary: | <p align="justify"> Infrastructure development especially in urban areas raises new problems. Ignorance over utilities existing below the surface of the soil is one of the problems in the construction of infrastructure. Utilization of Virtual Reality-based applications of GIS (VR-GIS) as a medium in the know utilities are considered able to help resolve these problems. This research aims to know the suitability of 3D models either ground or air cables against 360 panoramic photo and overlay process and rendering 3D models against 360 panoramic photo. Research conducted experiments with nature doing a test and simulation against applications that were created. Development of VR-GIS-based application for monitoring underground utilities can be inferred that the 2D spatial data georeferencing process towards a 3D model using collinearity coordinate transformation, the process of paying attention to the availability of 3D model overlay either ground or air cables using of spatial queries, and rendering a 3D model on the application are performed simultaneously on the perspective of 360o when users select a location on a 360 panoramic photo available. <p align="justify"> |
