Polyaspartic acid is one of water soluble <br /> <br /> polymeric group and have several characteristic such as chelating effect, functional polymer and eco <br /> <br /> friendly. Leucine is one of amino acid which can be act as a green corrosion inhibitor. Merging of <br /> <br /> those two compounds expect results a corrosion inhibitor which is relatively cheap, eco-friendly, <br /> <br /> biodegradable and have a better inhibition. Leucine is one of amino acid that have electron donor <br /> <br /> group which can interact with metal surface. In this research, polysuccinimide synthesized with leucin <br /> <br /> to produce Polyaspartic copolymer leucine (PASP-Leu).Synthesizing PSI with leucine expetected to <br /> <br /> increase the inhibition ability from those compounds. PASP-Leu compound characterized by FTIR <br /> <br /> and NMR Emersion of vibration on wavelength 2130 cm-1and the loss of peak 1700 cm-1on spectrum <br /> <br /> PSI pointing out the success of synthesizing PASP-Leu. Corrosion inhibition test of PASP-Leu <br /> <br /> compund and its precursor toward carbon steel on environment of saturated 1% NaCl on temperature <br /> <br /> 25, 35, 45, 55 have been done using Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy, Tafel, weight loss <br /> <br /> method.Test using EIS produce maximum inhibiton on 45 in the amount of 49,44% on <br /> <br /> concentrarion 175 ppm.Tafel method produce eficeience in the amount of 29,33% and pointing out as <br /> <br /> anodic inhibitor.Weight loss method produce eficience in theamount of 65,56%. text |
