Description
Summary:Respiratory system is one of the vital organ systems in human body. However, there are several respiratory diseases that can disturb our body or even cause death. A measurement system called spirometry test uses spirometer to measure lung function. In this final project, a digital spirometer called SILIR has been made. SILIR is a portable digital spirometer which uses Android-based smartphone to display the measurement result. The software is designed to receive flow value using Bluetooth. The received flow is processed to produce respiratory parameters, such as FEV1, FVC, PEF, FEV1/FVC and also Volume-Time Graph and Flow-Volume Loop. The designed software has authentification function and database storage as well. The database is stored in the local storage and cloud storage using Firebase service. The uses of cloud storage means the doctor or medical supervisor can access the respiratory data through online. Therefore, the designed system brings advantages in many aspects.
