Summary:<p align="justify">In CMFs, measurement is performed by passing the fluid through vibration. CMFs are divided into 2 groups, elastic tube CMFs and rigid tube CMFs. In rigid tube CMFs, the tube(s) can still vibrate because they are supported by elastic supports. CMFs as much as they do elastic tube CMFs and hence production cost can be reduced through proper design. At present, rigid tube CMFs are still in development phase and they have more sensor and exciter compared to elastic tube CMFs. This work consists of review of literature, prototype manufacturing, mathematical modelling, and experiment to develop a new rigid tube CMF. In this work, a new measurement method has been developed. The new method utilizes only 1 straight pipe, 1 vibration sensor, and 1 exciter. Consequently, measurement become simpler and cheaper. This work is a starting point for the development of a new CMF till it is ready to be mass produced.<p align="justify">
