Description
Summary:
Pidie Jaya earthquake occured on 7th December 2016. According to Indonesian Agency for Meteorological, Climatological and Geophysics (BMKG), the main shock happened at 05:03:35 WIB in 5.29 north and 96.22 east with magnitude of 6.5 (depth of 15 km). A week after, research collaboration of ITB, Unsyiah, BMKG and GFZ Postdam Germany installed 9 seismometers around Pidie Jaya since 14th December 2016 to 16th January 2017. It has been identified that there were 315 of aftershock events with datas of P wave obtained as many as 1519 datas while S wave obtained as many as 1515 datas. In this study, we have been conducting (i) rotation of S wave datas into SW and SH menggunakan SAC, (ii) determination t* value of P wave and SH wave, (iii) determining 3D of Qp, Qs, and Qp/Qs structure in the region using SIMULPS. The data input for attenuation tomography is attenuation operaor (t*), which was calculated by spectral fitting method. The result are t* from 1192 P-waves and 841 S-waves. tP* value is 0.001-0.028 s, frequency corner of 1.55 Hz to 22.53 Hz, and spectral level of 2.83 to 41678.28 nm/s. tSH* value is 0.001 - 0.021 s, frequency corner of 0.9 Hz to 12.7 Hz, and spectral level of 3.79 to 28077.47 nm/s. The 3-D attenuation tomography research in Pidie Jaya area cacould cover areas from the depth of 0 km to 20 km. In the area which indicated by InSAR and PUSGEN as a fault Pidie Jaya, there is anomaly at shallow depth (0 km - 6 km) as crack in the saturated rock. In the depth of 6 km – 20 km interpreted as fracture in the saturated rock.
