In this fnal project, <br />
quantitative modeling of CO<sub>2</sub> concentration and saturation distribution during injection period is conducted by COMSOL Multiphysics 5.0 using Darcy’s Law <br />
interface and Transport of Diluted Species in Porous Media interface for first modeling and Two-Phase Darcy’s Law for the second modeling. Darcy’s equation is used to calculate the fluid velocity in in porous media.The force in this case is buoyancy force generated by density contrast. The parameters that used in the modeling are porosity, fluid density, dynamic viscosity, gravitional force, saturation, capillary pressure, pressure, temperature, concentration, and permeability . The result show resrvoir’ pressure due to carbon dioxide injection and CO<sub>2</sub> consentration distribution at the certain time .From tthe result, writer conclude that carbon dioside injection causes increase of reservoir’s pressure. Beside, during injection periode, structural trapping is the most dominant trapping that occures in the reservoir.<p align="justify"> |
