Description
Summary:
Patimban port is a port that is planned to be built in Subang district, West Java. The purpose of the port is to replace the construction project of Port Cilamaya in Karawang which is cancelled because its location which intersects with a subsea oil and gas pipeline.

This final assignment will discuss the construction method for reclamation and dredging works of container terminal and car terminal in Patimban Port at phase 1. To create a construction method, it is mandatory to research about reclamation, to be precise a special method of reclamation called the cement mixing method. This cement mixing method is crucial in the reclamation works of container terminal and car terminal to fulfil the project time constraint which is 52 weeks. After researching the required information, then the activities which are needed to finish the project could be determined. From all those activities a WBS or Work Breakdown Structure could be made. From this WBS the volume works from each activity and the equipments used could be determined, resulting in a productivity table for each activity, from WBS the relations between each activities could also be determined. Then from the available informations which are the relations between each activities and the productivity of each activity, a construction schedule is devised.

If the total duration of the construction is below 52 weeks, then the next step is to create a budget draft. After getting the price of each activity, then a unit price of each activity is made including the total price of the entire project. Then the final step is to compare, between the prices of reclamation using cement mixing method, and conventional reclamation which only relies on consolidation.
