The experimental research consist of some test of two specimens with different reinforcements, on compressive strength of concrete and tensile strength of reinforced steels. In the two specimen types, wet joint (cast- in-situ) method is used The result of hysteresis load-displacement curve, ductility, strength and stiffness degradation, moment-curvature, energy dissipation, crack pattern and propagation obtained from experimental work, were analyzed. Crack patterns show that the collapse of the unit is due to flexural action under ductile manner. The strong column - weak beam concept for beam-column joint design under seismic load is satisfied. This is shown by the experimental study in which that the column and joint behaved in elastic manner while plastic hinge developed in the beam at the vicinity of column face text |
