Summary: | In wells experiencing liquid loading problems , gas flow will be constrained by the availability of liquid at the bottom of the well. Deliquification process is needed to allow the wells produce gas properly. There are a number of deliquification method such as swabbing, plunger lift , velocity strings, modiffied ESP, foam etc. In some cases, there are limitations in the use of these methods that require further research and development . <br />

At low pressure gas wells, the velocity string method is considered ineffective in lifting liquid to the surface. The relatively high pressure gradients required in this method to overcome frictions due to small diameter tubing . The method Liquid - Lifitng Small Tube Technique ( STLT ) , tubing fitted with holes so that gas entry pressure gradient required is relatively low . While the use of Small Dual Tube Liquid - Lifting Technique ( DSTLT ) using two parallel tubing will increase the speed and capacity of lifting liquid from the bottom of the well. From the data obtained , liquid and gas flow rate of DSTLT method greater than STLT method. Maximum liquid flow rate reaches 33.77 bpd obtained in hole size 1 mm with pressure gradients 0.4191 psi / ft . Laboratory testing using two variations of tubing 4.65 mm and 9.6 mm with a height of tubing up to 8 m , fluid form nitrogen gas and water, and others supporting equipment. |
