Research area is located in Tanjung Gunung Area, Pangkalan Baru, Bangka tengah District, Bangka Belitung Province and its tin potency has been recognized since a long time ago. Therefore, this research aimed to determine geological condition, alteration, and primary tin mineralization in the research area. This study performed several methods such as geological mapping and laboratory analysis. Geological mapping is used to collect data from field, subsequently laboratory work conducted to analysed the data. Data analysis include some observations that are petrography analysis, mineragraphy analysis, Analytical Spectral Device analysis, X-Ray Flourescence analysis, and structural geology analysis. Research area is divided into two geomorphological units that is Tanjung Gunung Residual Hills and Tanjung Gunung Denudational Terrain. Geological unit are divided into two groups that are Granite Unit and Decayed Granite Unit. Structural geology that can be found in research area are joints, veins, right lateral fault, and normal fault. Alteration zones in research area are divided into three zones, Muskovit-Sericite Zone, Sericite-Illit Zone, and Muskovit-Sericite-Kaolinit Zone. Primary tin ore deposit is mostly found all over the research area, but that are distinguished by their tonnage, Muskovit-Sericite Zone contains 30 ppm, Sericite- Illit Zone contains 46 ppm, and Muskovit-Sericite-Kaolinit Zone contains 77 ppm. text |
