Wika Precast-fabricated PC spun piles as its supporting systems. Single pile axial and lateral capacity should be analyzed first in order to support existing loads. Single pile axial capacity will be calculated manually using Meyerhoff’s method, while lateral capacity will be analyzed with the help of LPile software. Then, group of piles axial capacity will be calculated manually with group efficiency consideration, while the lateral capacity is determined by the reactions of horizontal loads with the help of Ensfot Group software. Furthermore, the elastic and consolidation settlements of these driven-piles groups will be compared to the determined requirement. The dimension and reinforcement of pile cap and tie beam will be determined hereafter as the last steps of foundations designing.

Diaphragm wall is used as structure to retain soils along the building’s construction and operation period. The dimension of retaining wall is determined manually using free earth support principle in which the depth of penetraton of each boreholes depends on active and passive soil pressures. The active and passive soil pressures will be analyzed at static and dynamic conditions so the wall is capable enough to retain the soils. Furthermore, the reinforcement needed is determined by using moment’s coefficient method.
text
