Summary: | <p align="justify">The limited number of public green open space in Denpasar city causes the difficulty to Denpasar citizen especially the citizen who live through the river border area, to have activities and socialize in the open space area. The green open space at Tukad Badung’s river border has a potential development into a public green open space in the middle of Denpasar city. Currently, the Tukad Badung downstream border area is often used for various activities of citizen, especially the citizen who live through the river border area. Activities of residents such as gathering, socializing, fishing, exercising, recreation and other activities. Based on the observation, problems that found in Tukad Bandung downstream border area are the limited number of public facilities, a lot of sediments that enter the river, and other river pollution problems, either by solid or liquid waste. The garbage found at site area come from the neighborhood activities through the river border, river upstream, and garbage that carried from channels around site area. <br />

This landscape design final project aims to create a green open space that can be used to socialize as well as solve environmental problems at site area, so as can improve the river’s ecological functions with appropriate technology. To solve the sediment and garbage problem using trash trap system and constructed wetland. This trash trap system works to reduce solid waste contamination, while constructed wetland to resolve the waste of fertilizer and pesticide that entering water body through drainage channel which connected with rice field area. The landscape design using educational and recreational approach. So that in addition as an attraction, the design can also able to educate citizen to preserve the environment, especially the river environment.<p align="justify"> |
