Large number of water requirements in an irrigation area is established by square based cropping pattern available. As the importance of such matter, the establishment of cropiing pattern in any irrigation area is on a local Decree of Mayor based.</p> <br /> In accordance with Decree of Cianjur Mayor, the cropping pattern to be implemented in DI. Cihea are padi-padi-palawija. Nevertherless, some of farmer using square-based cropping pattern are really incompatible with the decree. It is have , of course, an extremely significant effect on the number of waterrequirements even occasionally become a shortage element of water on some area around downstream.</p> <br /> Most optimal establishment of cropping pattern is performed by modifying such a cropping pattern, cropping schedule as well as the use of golongan system and intermitten system. The result of the analysis is considering any desire of people for planting rice (padi) on MT3, shown that cropping pattern padi-padi-palawija is most optimal cropping pattern and in conformity to aspirations of communities. The cropping pattern is applied to each of the following cropping area and schedule using a golongan system : <br /> - Gol. I 1916 ha , initial cropping of November 15-30 <br /> - Gol. II 1799 ha , initial cropping of December 1-15 <br /> - Gol. III 1780 ha , initial cropping of December 15-31 <br /> The use of golongan system allow to decrease and shifting periods of peak discharge taken place, there by useful to antocipate large number of water requirement in processing of MT 1.</p> Meanwhile , the large of water on MT3 might be cope with intermetten system in the stage of secondary chanel in relation to K factor. Cropping patern padi-padipalawija with using continous flow cropping intensity 249 % , meanwhile with intermitten system cropping intencity to 300 % with K factor 0,58. Cropping patern padi-padi-padi+palawija with using continous flow cropping intensity 236 % , meanwhile with intermitten system cropping intencity to 300 % with K factor 0,53. text
