International Standard on environmental management system (ISO 14001) is a tool to guarantee the environmental management system performance since the environmental management system combines environmental criteria into the company performance at all levels. In line with implementation of ISO 14001 on environmental management system, PT. XYZ, a private electricity contractor operating PLTP ABC, is preparing to get the ISO 14001 certificate as measuring rod that PT. XYZ has carried out already environmental management. On the other hand, from study result using gap analysis method, by comparing environmental management implementation in PT. XYZ compared to ISO 14001 standard, is identified some aspects of environmental management in PT XYZ that hasn't complied yet with ISO 14001 standard on environmental management system. This causes environmental performance with continual improvement in the company has not been created yet. To cope with the problems, it is recommended for PT. XYZ to determine environmental policy, objective and target, structure and responsibility, checking and corrective action, and management review. By so doing, PT. XYZ will not only comply with environmental regulation, but also will create environmental performance with continual .
