Description
Summary:Currently, oil still plays an important role as a source of world energy. Therefore we need a technology that can increase the oil production rate while the demand rate is also increasing. One of the solution is the development of artificial lift. One of kinds of artificial lift methods is electric submersible pumping (ESP).

To lift of the fluid can not flow naturally, artificial lift mechanism must be designed properly. In addition to good design, control and review the performance of ESP is required to ensure production in the field. After producing for some time, parameters that affect the design of the ESP was supposed to be compared with production activities in the field. So that can be known whether the wells already in production with optimum flow rate or not. For this purpose, developed a study that aims tp develop guidelines for evaluation of ESP.

Electrical Submersible Pump (ESP) evaluation guide was built by the data plot between the True Vertical Depth (TVD) with Pressure. The data plot describes the results of the optimization is performed. The relationship between True Vertical Depth (TVD) and pressure is expected to be a justification for determining the status of the ESP design optimization.

Development of guidelines based evaluation field data of an area that uses the ESP as an artificial lifting mechanism. Evaluation resulted in the pump efficiency with 65 stages is very good compared with ESP which uses 208 stages that have been installed previously. If the terms of the efficient use of stages, it can be concluded that the ESP which has been installed on the wells inefficient that is necessary to control and review of the ESP design. Evaluation studies this ESP will carried out through an intregated model of wells system with the software PROSPER (well simulator).
