Description
Summary:Design of Soekarno Hatta International Airport land-side facilities is required to accommodate future traffic in response to the increasing number of air transportation needs. Currently, several codes regarding airport passenger terminal have been adopted in Indonesia such as Indonesia National Standard (hereinafter: SNI) SNI 03-7046-2004 and SKEP 77-VI-2005. In designing passenger terminal facilities, traffic forecasting up until 20th year of service is required by utilizing existing socioeconomic variables of target area and its correlation with future traffic using the econometric method. Later on, the result of forecasting phase will be translated in to passenger terminal concept based on Federal Aviation Agency and Airport Development Reference Manual 8th Edition by International Air Transport Association (IATA) standards followed by calculation and configuration of passenger terminal facilities which comprise of departure curb, departure hall, check-in area, security check area, and gate hold room area. The purpose of this thesis research is to design land-side facilities of Sultan Thaha Airport in accordance to SNI 03-7046-2004 and SKEP 77-VI-2005 in order to accommodate future traffic within 20th years of service. More importantly, the proposed passenger terminal design will be evaluated based on passengers’ convenient, airport operator, and airliner perspective in order to choose the selected design.
