Description
Summary:
Earthquake, which is a sudden movement of the ground, can affect the performance of a structure due to the interaction between the soil with the structure. The design target that must be reached on an earthquake resistant structure is the life safety, means when the earthquake occurs there must be a warning in advance in order to not to cause casualties. Graha Gatsu Building which will be designed to withstand earthquake consists of 30 floors with a maximum height of 124,9 meters which serves as an office and hotel for its upper structure and 3 basement floors with a depth of 9,8 meters for its lower structure. The location of Graha Gatsu building project has soil type D, stiff soil (mud) condition, high earthquake acceleration (SDS = 0,577), and risk category II, therefore this building has Seismic Design Category D. This building is designed with a dual system earthquake-resistant consisting of a Special Moment Resisting Frame System and a Special Structural Wall System. Structural modeling is done in two stages where the upper (tower) and lower (basement) structures are modeled using ETABS 2016 software. The seismic analysis procedure used for upper structure is spectrum response analysis, while the lower structure used an equivalent lateral force analysis. Structural modeling and analysis was conducted with reference to the regulation of SNI 1726-2012, with a result that obtained value of combined structure period is 4.244 seconds for y and 3.238 for the x direction. Checking of inter-story drifts and irregularities are fulfilled. The effect of P-Delta on structures does not need to be taken into account. The design of the reinforcement detail on upper and lower structural elements is based on SNI 2847-2013, specifically for slabs, beams, columns, and shear wall.
